The cruise surpassed our expectations! we were skipped by Jay, eco enviro expert Howard and sensational crew. The total trip was everything we wanted, fishing, cray fishing, snorkelling, eco tours, history of the area and Batavia and dinning experiences. Whilst we initially thought this was an extravagant tour it was value for money when we look back on the tool experience. Thank you Eco Tours for a very unique holiday/adventure.

Worth every dollar. An excellent cruise. Beautiful scenery with lots of waterfalls, swimming holes and crocodiles (not at the same time!), and gorgeous sunsets. Although it seemed expensive at the time, we felt this trip was worth every dollar. Our captain Grant participated in every outing (sometimes two or three in one day) and his knowledge and understanding of the region and aboriginal culture, plus personal anecdotes, brought it all to life. There were 29 passengers on board and everyone mingled; the atmosphere was relaxed, with bare feet, shorts and T shirts day and most nights. The food was terrific. The crew were friendly and enthusiastic. Could not fault a thing.

13 night Cruise in the Kimberley Coast region on the Eco Abrolhos A big thankyou to Grant the skipper and all of his crew for their professionalism throughout this amazing journey. Very informative with historical facts and cultural history. Food menus were outstanding at all times, chef was brilliant! also the fishing tours we experienced bringing in the fresh fish adding to the evening meals . In my many years travelling I have never been so moved by emotion to witness the Kimberley Coast Line.King George River! Montgomery Falls! King Cascade! Just a few of the many areas that this cruise offers to those who appreciate the natural wonders we have to witness in this Great Region. An amazing experience!! This was a most amazing experience. The crew was fantastic. Jay the skipper had so much knowledge and stories about the Abrolhos. We didn't realise how big the Abrolhos Islands were. The snorkeling spots were great. Food was delicious with plenty of choice. Even Easter Bunny came for a visit. We now have friends interested in going. Highly recommend doing this.

We have just returned from a cruise in the Kimberley on the Eco Abrolhos and it was amazing. The accommodation was comfortable, the meals were exceptional and the excursions from the boat were very informative and spectacular. Nothing was to much trouble for the crew and everyone on board was willing to help each other whether they were crew or passengers. I would not hesitate to recommend the Eco Abrolhos to anyone if they are interested in small group Kimberley cruise.

The Cruise Of A Lifetime This was an outstanding cruise that fulfilled all of our expectations. We had previously explored the onshore Kimberley, but cruising is definitely much mre picturesque. The crew were outstanding, especially Grant who generously shared his intimate knowledge of the Kimberley, its landscapes, history and indigenous culture. Also notable was the way the crew helped us elderly adventurers to navigate some rough terrain, and thereby reach the fresh water pools for a refreshing dip. Food was good, varied and plentiful. We can't wait to do another EcoAbrolhos tour. Only downside was rough seas toward the end of our trip.

Amazing Kimberley Cruise We had a fantastic time on the Eco Abrolhos from Broome to Wyndham. The ship is very stable and very comfortable with great nautical character. The spacious top deck is a fantastic place to relax and take in the view of the amazing rock formations of the Kimberley water ways. You get a 360 degree view which is great for photographers and a great place for sunset drinks too. Food was exceptional and beautifully presented. You won’t go hungry on this ship! Thanks Connor.
There were 30 passengers and everyone got on very well and met some great people. We had daily sight seeing excursions and many fishing trips on the best tenders specially designed for the purpose of exploring waterways. The tender drivers were very knowledgeable of the local area when sight seeing and they knew where to put us on the fish when we went fishing. There are 4 tenders to take all passengers so everyone goes together and there is no waiting around! You get to see a lot more than the big cruise liners and there is no waiting for excursions.
Being a catamaran with relatively shallow draft we were able to get into places where the big cruise ships can’t get to. We had the best time.

Eco Abrolhos cruises The eco Abrolhos from Darwin to Broome was marvellous.Well catered for ,staff were helpful, would definitely recommend the eco Abrolhos company.We also did the week long Abrolhos Island cruise never knew bone can eat crayfish(lobster) in that many ways had crayfish muffins,boiled ,roasted,steamed,whole,pancakes,terrific imaginations what one can do with lobster.

Amazing experiences - drinks at dusk at amazing waterfalls, picnic lunch swimming in fresh water waterholes, fishing, crabbing, crocodile watching!, whale watching, upper deck drinks and Hawaiian night, out in the tenders for sunrise over the amazing Kimberley cliffs, river reflections, the unforgettable Montgomery Reef and the Horizontal Falls. exceptional staff - Grant, Jono, Alex and crew, great food, very reasonable bar prices and much more .

Better than 10/10 We have just returned from a truly wonderful holiday cruising on the Eco Abrolhos from Wyndham to Broome that exceeded even my high expectations so much so that I would rate it better than 10/10! Unique and wonderful The Abrolhos Islands are a beautiful mosaic of low-lying coral and limestone islands surrounded by aquamarine sea and beautiful healthy reef systems. Their status as a national park means that tourism is limited to day trips unless one travels with a cruise operator such as Eco Abrolhos.
Owner Jay Cox was / is a lobster fisherman prior to this tourism venture and so he is in a unique position to interpret the islands for guests, he knows the best spots to visit and all the colourful local tales.
Each day aboard the Eco Abrolhos offers an opportunity to snorkel or to view coral from a glass bottom boat. There are also nature walks to observe birds, sea lions and Tammar Wallabies – as well as to learn about shipwrecks such as the Batavia. And for the fisher-folk there are also daily fishing trips.
Some specifics from our wonderful trip:
* The Eco Abrolhos does not claim to be a luxury cruise but it is quite comfortable for 5 nights. There are cabins for every budget and the boat does not travel at night, which ensures a calm rest. Our ensuite was compact but the shower was hot and everything functioned well.
* Chef Connor does a great job of catering to every dietary requirement as well as ensuring that the lobsters Jay pulls out of the ocean each morning are on the table that night – a big drawcard for some of us! (There are alternatives at every meal if you don’t eat lobster). Fishing activities ensure there fresh fish is also available. We especially appreciated the fruit salad each morning – but I don’t recall hearing anyone disappointed by any meal. Filtered water is available in the guest lounge so one can refill one’s water bottle.
* Beverages are not included in the trip’s cost, however, we found the range and markup on alcohol to be quite reasonable.
* Dress standards are casual – this would matter mostly to those flying out or back to join the cruise, as there is a limit on luggage allowance. There’s absolutely no need to dress up.
* Most cabins do not have individually controlled air conditioning and the boat temperature is quite cool. The one thing I wish I had known before the trip was that we would have been better bringing warm clothes – as we feel the cold. The team did provide extra blankets – so we were warm in bed. If you feel the cold, I’d recommend you ask for cabin 15 or 16 which do have individually controlled AC.
* The other thing that might be helpful is to know that on this relatively small ship, you will feel the ocean’s movement when you are not inside the shelter of the islands. Even if you have not previously experienced sea-sickness it may be worthwhile bringing seasickness tablets along.
* When visiting Post Office Island, guests have the opportunity to visit Jane Liddon’s pearl jewellery showroom. Jane is an amazing character and produces unique pieces specifically designed to be worn with casual clothing . We highly recommend paying the additional small fee to visit Jane’s showroom and to hear about the pearl production process. We found the cost of her jewellery compared to alternatives to be extremely good value.
* The crew of the Eco Abrolhos were wonderful: knowledgeable, helpful and tireless - ensuring we had a great time.
Overall this was a simply wonderful experience: we learned lots, the snorkelling was amazing and we enjoyed lobster each night!
The Eco Abrolhos is virtually the only way to experience the islands in this way – so we highly recommend it.
